How to obtain the Plist file for iOS configuration?

Follow the below steps to obtain your Plist file:

Step 1: Go to Firebase and sign in to your account.



Step 2: Click Get Started.


 

Step 3: Click Add project.



Step 4: Enter the project name, select the checkbox, and click the Continue button.


 


Step 5: Click Continue.



Step 6: Select a Google Analytics account and click Create project.


Step 7: Once the setup is complete, your project will be ready. Click Continue.





Step 8: Click the cogwheel icon next to Project Overview, and select Project Settings.


Step 9: Under the General tab, go to the “Your Apps” section, and click the iOS icon.



Step 10: Click the Register app button to complete the first step of adding Firebase to iOS app. 


Step 11: Click Next.



Step 12: Click Next.



Step 13: Click Next.



Step 14: Once the steps are completed, click Continue to console.


Step 15: Once the app is added, it will be displayed in the “Your apps” section.

 


Step 16: Next is APNs authentication for which the Auth key will be required. The Auth Keys will be obtained from the Apple Developer portal. Log in to your Apple Developer account and click Certificates under Program resources.


Step 17: Under Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles, click Keys in the side menu.




Step 18: Click the + icon next to Keys to add a key.


Step 19:  Enter the Key name, select the Apple Push Notification service (APNs) checkbox, and click Continue.
 




Step 20: Review the details, and click Register.

 


Step 21: Copy the Key ID to your clipboard, and click Download to download the key.

Step 22: Go back to the Account section, navigate to the Membership details section, and copy the Team ID to your clipboard.
 


Step 23: The Auth Key obtained from the Apple Developer will need to be configured in Firebase.
Go to your Firebase console, switch to the Cloud Messaging tab, and click Upload in the Apple app configuration section.


Step 24: Upload the downloaded key file, and paste the copied Key ID and Team ID obtained from the Apple Developer account.


Step 25: Navigate back to the General tab in the Project Settings. In the “Your apps” section, under SDK setup and configuration, click the Download button to download the plist file.
